I got to be a part of something so special. I still can’t wrap my mind around it. My best friend had her first baby. Little Anastasia Pearl Brinkmann. I’m so proud of my best friend. Watching her go through that – I’m not going to lie – it was hard! To see someone you love so much in pain like that. Especially having experienced it myself with my own son, knowing how much the pain hurts. It’s unreal. But it was also so beautiful. Seeing how strong my best friend is. What she’s capable of. The strength that God placed in her and all women. So empowering. And then once she arrived, seeing the Glory of God in this tiny little baby. Seeing that beautiful girl for the first time. And seeing her latch for the first time. I fought back tears all day, but once she arrived there was no fighting any longer. The happy tears came! And I just let them. It was the most amazing experience. And I hope that this leads to many more birth stories to come!
