What an amazing trip! I traveled down to Colorado Springs for a content retreat with @floraweddingcollective. It was my birthday weekend, so this was a fun little work trip I treated myself to! Colorado is my favorite place, and I’m slowly making my way around the state. Woke up the first day and opened the curtains of my hotel suite window to the sight of snow coming down. Not going to lie, I was a little disappointed, as I was really hoping for some beautiful sunshine-y weather! But I’ve been to Colorado enough to know, Spring still means snow. And hello, it was still April. But do you know what?! It ended up being SO beautiful. And by the next day, all the snow was melted. So I got to see the Garden of the God’s in 30 degree weather covered in a blanket of snow AND 60 degree weather and luscious and green. The best of both worlds really.

Our models, Arlena and Travis, never really had actual wedding photos! They had a courthouse wedding. Arlena never even tried on a wedding dress. Can you believe this was the first wedding dress she’s ever worn?! She is absolutely STUNNING. It’s like it was made for her. Thanks to Bridal by SHL out of Kansas City, MO for the beautiful gown and cape.

Arlena’s stunning hair and make up was done by a local Colorado team – The Day Colorado. They did such an amazing job. Aren’t we in love?!

The beautiful cake was done by a local baker, Alyce in Flourland, and I can attest that her cakes taste as good as they look! If you need a wedding cake – look her up. She’s insanely talented!

Our florist was our wonderful host of the trip, Iliana Lohraff with Flora Wedding Co. She makes these wooden flowers and puts these gorgeous bouquets together by hand. She also put together the beautiful picnic scene and table scape. The charcuterie board was another local vendor – Alpine Boards Charcuterie. And they did such a fabulous job!

It’s always a great time to work with these amazing vendors to create something so beautiful! I had such a blast.

So, what do you think?! Do you want to elope in Garden of the God’s now?!

I don’t blame you. I’m so in love with how these turned out! Check back soon for more content from my awesome trip!!
